If We Can Examine We Will Keep Ahead Of The Game
We can examine the things we do or let chance and circumstance have their sway. Without going over the top, it would be wise to - inspect the circumstances that we find ourselves in
- consider the angles before deciding our course of action
- study any relevant material that may aid our efforts
- look to our past experiences to see what worked before or to assist us with old ways of tackling new things. We need to be in the here and now but the past has much to teach us
And what else - we may need to research if our task is complex and multi-faceted
- we may need to review what has been done by others and in similar situations
- we may need to investigate the benefits just as much as the challenges
and all before we start out. We may need to look to ourselves and - explore our motives and attitudes to the task or project at hand
- probe our inner thoughts and feelings for deep felt prejudices or possible excuses for not tackling the task at hand
- analyze our thoughts and feelings
- reflect on where we stand
but not to the extent that we procrastinate and delay what really needs to be done and that which we really want to do. And realize that for anything to really work out we need to be committed to the goal, feel that the benefits are sufficient and worthy of our efforts and give ourselves permission to proceed.
