Persistence Is Your Determination And Resolve To See Your Task Through

Persistence is a terrific attitude to have.

What can we not do if we only continued on with it after a part of us says that is enough? What can we not achieve?

How do we become persistent in our actions?

How can we cultivate this, develop it as a talent and a skill. For surely in the right hands this is just as useful as any other skill we may have. What is the use of the rest if we don't put enough effort in to get the job done?

Are we just being obstinate?

Are we just doing this for the hell of it? Sometimes yes! But many times our motivation is of a much higher quality.

We want to make a difference. We may not be as clever as the other guy/girl, but we can stick at our task and see things through. Through the good and the bad times. Through the stress and the relaxation - when the prize is nearly won.

We can plug away at something. Trying this and that. Some will help, others will assist, while others will be wasteful of time, energy and thought. And we know which ones we should pursue and will help us get the job done.

At times we need to endure, and persistence is the key. We need to take the rough with the smooth and then we'll be able to make real progress.

Pressing on and not giving up are values and principles we would all do well to take notice of. Standing firm is not always easy. Staying the course when others think we are wasting our time is difficult and challenging, but worthwhile, too.

Being resolute and showing off your stamina and persistence is not just about running those extra few yards but ensuring that all the loose ends are tied up, that the target is reached, and tidying up things afterward, too.

Showing determination and dedication can separate us from the flock. Can bring rich rewards and huge benefits and not only material.

At times we can question and wonder at the efforts we make and the ends to which we are willing to travel, to see something through.

Meeting challenges by gritting our teeth, showing resolve and tireless endurance and tenacity, and sometimes sheer doggedness will achieve many things and get us noticed and valued at the same time.

Gaining the respect and appreciation of others may not seem a benefit of our diligence but many lack this very helpful commodity. We should not take our share for granted on the one hand, while ensuring that we use it well and productively on the other.

Being steadfast and tireless, you will be invited to the ball, by helping to achieve that next target, that next prize, that next goal. Without people like you many a thing would never be achieved. And the world would be a worse place for that fact.

Just don't forget to attend to aspects of your own life with the same caring and persistent attitude and you'll live a life you will be proud of.
