Managing change quotes from my notebooks:

The following are taken from my notebooks. They will I hope complement the quotations given above as well as reveal a little more about my life and my thinking about life. They are all related to the theme of managing change quotes.

Some are idle thoughts and comments on life and the life we lead - these managing change quotes. Others could one day be developed further into articles or reports. I feel that they are related to the 'managing change quotes' theme.

Managing change quotes - from my notebooks

You play a game. If you lose, lose with a good heart. With good spirit. Congratulate your opponent. Hope to win with a good heart. Play fair. Play hard. Play honestly. Win or lose with good grace. Be an opponent people want to play against. Take pride in what you do and how you play.

He was so nice but he allowed events and circumstances to change him.

Can live. Trust own experience. Are we manipulated? Are things being fixed for us?

How would life be now (a moment later, a day later, a year later) if you had missed that red light while travelling to work that day. Or went a different route and avoided the accident - when someone ran into you - what would live now be like?

The world has changed. It's now full of double standards, hypocrisy, selfishness and personal gain?

When one stage of your life is over or feels that way you have to ask yourself what you're now going to do. What does the next stage of your life encompass? What will you do? Where will you do it? What will you achieve?

Discover what you're good at

  • That can take time
  • Then enjoy doing it
  • Don't forget the other things in your life
  • Don't be afraid to ask others for advice or assistance
They can often see things in you that you cannot see yourself - and can help you, too.

Everything can change in a second.

Recognize life's crossroads and choose wisely.

Is there a problem? Don't try to fix that which is working fine. But by all means try to improve, to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of what you are doing. Equally, gains can be made by simplifying and making something more straightforward.

Sometimes just have to drift. Relax. Let things wash over you. Centre yourself and feel. Just feel. Don't exert yourself, just feel. Live within reasonable limits. Have a restful time. Recuperate. Recharge the batteries to later be ready to hit the world once more with energy, purpose and direction.

Particular or picky. Don't be too choosy. The small things do matter. After all most big things are made up of small(er) things. But don't get carried away. Picky for the sake of it is not rewarding and can just be a waste of our time. Allow your feelings to guide you. Your instincts are there to be trusted, they will rarely let you down. Crossing Ts and dotting Is can be unproductive and can lead to inactivity, inefficiency, and can be ineffective. Just getting it right when things are mostly right and tackling issues as they occur will get more done and achieve your aims. Being indecisive is not a profitable state to encourage or develop. Give yourself a chance, leave room for grace and stride forward into your adventure. And be willing to be surprised. The experience will be worth it.

Insanely competitive or maintaining the status quo? Keep your end up.

Kind of shell shocked but accepting.

Get something out of your system. Sometimes there is no way round it. Just have to get on and do it. Cannot maneuver things any other way. Tackling it head on when a glancing blow just will not do may not suffice. Do it, get it out of your system and move on. Sometimes there is no other way. Don't live with regret of not doing it. Other times it's best to avoid it and move on. How easy life is (or not). These necessary decisions. Life can allow you no escape. Life is there to be lived.
