Let Verse Help You In Managing Change In Your Life

Managing change is a challenge for us all.

Where do we begin? Where will it all end?

Where all handle it every day of our lives in one form or another.

We may not think it but we have gotten used to change in our lives. We have had to.

Some come easy. Some are small but really do a number on us.

Others are large changes but relatively straightforward so do not affect us that much.

At times we may doubt or question our abilities to tackle this area of our lives.

But with a little thought and practice, assistance where required, and hard work and effort we can transform our lives in ways we never thought possible.

The power of words . . .

Here lies the power of verse. As we read we can let the words gently flow over us.

We can let ourselves open to the thoughts and their meanings, the ideas and their origin, the phrases and the understandings that they have ready for us.

If we let them filter through and allow the words their power to move and rejuvenate.

If we let ourselves be uplifted and filled with their sometimes hidden insights. Too gently and slowly to impact on our lives as we read - and in the future when we recall their meaning for us.

I hope this managing change page will do this and more. I hope this example will help to express life in an insightful, penetrating but easy to read manner. And help us to question the lives we lead and the manner in which we live them.

Change is something we cannot avoid
whichever way we may turn it can make us annoyed,
how we meet it depends upon what is happening
success at managing change has to come into our reckoning.

We can at times feel quite vulnerable
as the onset of a change makes us stumble
and feel giddy, pressured and tense
if only managing the whole process would make more sense.

At times we know why these alterations occur,
our confusion and uncertainty can act as a spur
to deal with any transitions as best we can
help we may shout out loud for a real good plan

Of how to adjust to the many changes
and transformations, variations and interchanges,
that makes our life hard to get used to
without clear direction or path we feel in a bit of a stew

As changing circumstances seem to give us the run around
our reactions at first appear quite sound
but looking deeper into our situation we may find
that life is putting us through the mill to grind

In order perhaps to teach us another lesson
to us our response just seems to lessen
rather than being a genuine treatment
we really want to succeed and make a statement

As we wish we were more in the flow
understanding, awareness, appreciation could give us a glow
from which we could happily forge ahead
our path or direction is clearly toward

Greater understanding of life and belief in our self
without which we might feel left on life's shelf
to stagnate or slow down we don't know which,
all this effort makes us hungry but no time - even for a sandwich.

We may feel at times we should better cooperate
with others in order to more successfully operate
in our world and immediate sphere of influence
if only we could get to the bottom of change, and its essence

For this would give our life a better chance
of managing change, but it can lead us a merry dance
this way and that as we seek a transformation
of fortunes and life, decisions and change an affirmation

That we really are getting on the right wavelength
to not just survive but grow and develop in strength
to meet change be it achievement or adversity
but our life seems to throw up such a diversity

Of challenges and circumstance with which to cope,
so many examples and so much practice gives us hope
that though we find change at times a little daunting
we can succeed in life and not be found wanting.

All best,
Martin
