You Make Your Own Luck In Life - Use It Well

What do we think about luck? Is it our friend or our foe?

Do we feel we have good fortune or is life out to get us? Or is it all a mixture of the two?

Is fate the secret of our success? We would like to say not, but to be in the right place at the right time doing the right thing - is that fortunate? Is that skill? Is that providence? Only we can decide - perhaps dependent upon our arrogance quotient!

Can we use luck to our advantage? If we adapt well to circumstances we can. Things happen and we can either flow with them or we can use them as an excuse to go under. After all who would blame us?

Perhaps we would - when we look back and see how we handled the situation?

Can we break this cycle of luck or poor fortune? Is it more than tossing a coin and getting six heads one after the other, and the next toss could be a tail? Or is it something that seems to be affecting our life in a big way?

Do we need to reflect on what we are doing and where we are going? Is life trying to tell us something, but are we listening? How aware we of what is happening to us, and how much do we care?

Is it a blessing or benefit or a curse? Depends how we look at things. Cup half full or half empty scenario. Think positively and new avenues open up, new horizons appear. Think negatively and we feel pressured, life is out to get us and we feel we have no way to turn.

My, that windfall has come in handy. If we have good fortune what do we make of it, how well do we use it? And this windfall need not be monetary gain, it can be greater wisdom, knowledge or understanding. Each of which can be priceless if used well, or filed away for a rainy day, or wasted if left to drain away.

Serendipity strikes again. Does such a thing exist? I think we can mostly agree that it does. If it happens to others, why not to or for us, too?

Things like this don't happen to me, must be an accident. Do we not feel more strongly about ourselves? We can accept and respect ourselves and feel that we deserve the benefits of life - or have we not put any work in and what we are getting is thoroughly undeserved?

Or is it that we accept the good luck but are relying upon good fortune again rather than putting in the effort to affect change ourselves.

That turn of events was most fortuitous, was it not? At least we recognize the fact and hopefully are grateful for the turn of events. And can capitalize on what has occurred to forge ahead in our lives. And be grateful for the change of fortune, or the way we can now see our way forward.

My, that was timely. Did not see that coming but it sure happened at the right time. And at times things do work out real well - we just need to have our eyes open, and the 'eyes' of our heart, too.

I wish these opportune moments would occur more often. Perhaps they do but we don't recognize them. Perhaps we are so lost in our own little world that we don't see the bigger picture, or appreciate how events can help us out.

That was a stroke of luck. I got a puncture, did not know how to fix it or change the tyre, when that kind man came along and offered to help - and would only accept my thanks afterwards before he drove off (and out of my life). Was that just chance?

My, that course of events was phenomenal. How could he foresee all those things happening one after the other. Or was he riding his luck? Or was he just living confidently and acting in a good and wholesome manner and life was accepting his contribution and helping him/her along?

Is life like dominoes? Push one over and all the others follow? At times things can work out that way. One things leads to another, to another. And the hard bit is just to make the first step along that road. And having faith in ourselves and life.

Does luck exist or is there something more? Life's little miracles. Either nothing or something very precious. We decide.

Do we get all the luck we deserve - or do we not notice it? Why should anyone get anymore than another - and is it fortunate anyway?

Where does my will and power and life come in here? Trusting and respecting yourself, others and life and getting on with your life. Having ups and downs but meeting them with the same fortitude and acceptance. Enjoying the ride of life, accepting the knocks and the helpful hands in equal good measure.

Life can be a ball, we just need to relax and enjoy it - in our own way and for ourselves, while contributing in our own way in return.

Am I plain lucky to be a human being at this time? Yes, of course.

This is one of the main tasks of life. To realize that we are important, that we can contribute, that we can reach our potential and beyond.

Now is that luck or hard work or being yourself - you decide!
