Use Exploration To Show Your Hidden Depths

Should exploration be a part of your life?

What on earth does this mean? It's not like I'm going on an expedition is it?

Or are you?

The daily adventure of life - what would you call that? Some would say the grind. Others would call it work and no play. Others throw themselves into life and are just happy to feel a part of things.

Each day dawns and we become awake - not necessarily that early!

We teeter out of bed (or jump if that day has real promise and excitement) have breakfast, wash and start our daily activities - be that the house, the job, the career, the education, the whatever.

Nothing much in that then - or is there everything?

If there is not much perhaps we should think about changing things - and quickly.

If life is a chore with no excitement. A happening with no joy or happiness. A time with no friendship or laughter. What have we got then? Not even jail time is that grey and two dimensional.

How can exploration help us? We need to understand that life has much more to offer us. We need to realize that there is much more to life than meets the eye.

That is an interesting expression. For there is much that meets the eye in life. The sky with the sun behind the clouds. The birds flying between the trees. The wind blowing the branches - and our hair.

And that is just nature. What with all the manmade things - we have trouble knowing what we should be focussing on.

And that is half the battle. Where to look, where to place our focus. What to do.

And then there is the outer world. All bright and glossy. All enticing and alluring.

And the inner world. Shrouded in mystery and the unknown.

What should we explore? Both I would say.

The outer world to earn a living and find our place, our niche, our 'work' that we need to do.

The inner world for us to find solace and silence. To find peace and contentment. To find ourselves.

Much to uncover. Exploration can be such a joy.

And what do we need - a balance.
