Do We Adapt And Become More By Learning Lessons In Life
How do we adapt to the circumstances of life? How can we adjust to the consequences of our actions? - by anticipating some outcomes before they become reality
- by realizing that two and two equals four, but at times we may need to get five out of it - that is, more than the sum of its parts
- by understanding that sometimes we need to get out of the way of life for things to occur in the way they should
Just how do we tackle what happens to us in life? - we can accept it all at face value
- we can accept it all as a part of some greater design
- we can believe we were responsible for what has occurred
- we can feel a pawn in someone else's game
- we can have no idea what is happening at all
or any number of other thoughts, concepts and ideas. And how might it affect us - we can act as if it has no affect at all
- we can be affected but keep it to ourselves
- we can be affected but cannot cope with the new way of things
- we find that the new way is so much better than it was, and why did it not happen before?
What qualities might we need to tackle these changes well - the foresight to see that things could be improved upon and that we want to put in the effort to change
- the ability to take change in our stride, it is changing anyway so we may as well go with it
- the humility to understand that we can improve and become more
- the confidence to let life take the lead
the strength of character to be able to accept change and go along with it. What are the other options - to resist what is happening with all our strength
- to bury our head in the sand and think nothing is happening
- to think it will affect others but pass us by
- to believe that we are above such things
- to think that we are doing more than OK so nothing can touch us
but none of them are really long term solutions to change. They may be OK for a little while, but will not stand up against the concerted and regular pursuit and action of change. And we need to be - flexible in our approach
- keep an open mind
- take some things on the chin and keep going
- be confident that we can weather any storm
and will be in good nick to be able to adapt and alter our life. Do we adapt. If we do - we will be able to accommodate change in our life and come out the other side a better, more understanding, more knowledgeable and wiser person. And be able to put these lessons of life to good use in the future.
