Let Your Courage Act As A Beacon Of Light

What is the role of courage in managing change?

We may see ourselves in different lights.

I don't see myself as brave, but I guess I am. I get down to things, don't I?

Never thought about it much. What are you on about. Things happen. Life goes on. What is the problem?

Sure, I am as confident as the next person. Change happens and I try to go along with it. Don't often have a problem.

Ouch! Someone called me arrogant last week. Made me think a bit.

Was that brave, I did not think so at the time. I just did it and would do so again.

Boldness and fortitude are both courageous qualities and ones that show we should have resolve and be willing to put the effort in to achieve our goals.

We may have pluck and daring in copious quantities, but without the right venture or direction in which to display our wares (our skills and strengths), how will anyone learn what we are capable of?

If we all had to be fearless to achieve the smallest of things, not many things would really get done.

Most of us show bravery in areas we are familiar with, but less so when taken out of our comfort zone.

Change has this habit of being a challenge. And, though challenges can be fun and rewarding, we should remember that hurdles and obstacles affect us all each and every day. Just because we are after a prized goal will not change that.

What we do need to do is to be ourselves and find the fortitude and bravery within to be ourselves. Then we will be able to tackle any challenge of circumstance that might affect us.

And learn from the process as well as gain our own respect if not the gratitude and thanks of others.

Just be natural and be yourself. Nothing more is needed to tackle life with confidence and motivation, and to know that you are on the right path - for you.
