Cooperation Should Be Something That Comes Naturally To Us

Do you feel that cooperation is important?

We do want to belong. We like to feel a part of things. We enjoy being a part, a valuable part, of our family.

We like teamwork. We feel at home when we belong. When other people share things with us - be they work related, or their cares and concerns.

Cooperating with others, does that not feel good. To belong. To feel a part of something.

Not being on one's own. Not feeling that we have to make all the decisions. We have to take all the flack. We have to put in all of the effort.

Can be individual and be in a group. We need not lose our identity. Perhaps we are a bit afraid that we won't be us in a group. But if we relax into it we may become more.

We may learn new skills and new viewpoints. See things through other people's eyes. Get feedback on what we think and suggest. Be able to reflect, with the benefit of another's input, on events and situations.

Sure at times we need to go our own way. Our path is for us alone. But at other times it feels good to be with others, not necessarily in a crowd, but to gain from the experience.

We can gain new insights. See things a new and different way. Learn from others. See that others have much to give, and believe that we have, too.

And come out of the whole experience a different person. Having gained and shared, put in the effort and taken part.

We might have been reluctant but perhaps next time we will be less so. We not only survived but benefited from the venture.

And can put our new found skills and abilities into practice in the future. Cooperation can work, and we can help make it work.
