Conclusions Show That We Not Only Act But That We Understand

Successful conclusions - that is what we all like.

Can I pull it off? Can I take those last few steps, make those last small adjustments, put that final effort in - and claim my prize?

Or will I leave the task hanging in the wind? The final steps not taken, no further effort made, the last hurdles or obstacles standing there triumphant in the winds of life.

The latter does not sound like a happy or satisfying possibility but it is all too common, as we all know to our costs.

Perhaps what may help is to stop. Take stock. Get some elevation. And see what we are doing for what it really is.

For us it may seem big and difficult, challenging and tedious. But in the grand order of things?

If we can see what we are doing as another step along our path in life. Another step to enjoy. Another step towards our destination.

And not always taking a step and looking back, but rather, from time to time, looking up and seeing the horizon of our life. Of our path. And seeing our promised land.

And realizing that, one step at a time, we can make it.

We can see others moving along their path. Different rates, different paths, similar destinations.

Solutions are there. We can create them. We can realize them.

And where are we trying to get to? A better job. A better house. Maybe.

A better life for ourselves and our family. Maybe.

To read that book. To take that course. To paint that room. To ...

So many things.

And alongside all of these our life continues. Breath in, breath out. On and on.

And if along the way we can appreciate that just a little more. Become more aware of the life we have. And the blessings we have in abundance.

And let these thoughts and feelings instil in us a greater awareness and appreciation for life and the world we live in.

Then we may not be reaching our conclusion but will realize that the path and the journey are there for us to enjoy, to savor. To find satisfaction, joy and contentment in the things that we do.

In the doing and the achieving. In the living and see that life has so much in store for us.
