Character Is What Distinguishes You From The Rest
Is my character important? Am I OK? What do other people think about me? What do I think about myself? Different reactions are possible. I'm not sure. I feel OK about it all, but perhaps I could try more. I'm doing OK. I'm fine, always am. No problems here. Well I think I'm liked. People seem friendly. I get on well with people. Hmmmmmmmmmm. I just feel alone and on my own. Don't seem to belong? What can I do? We have probably felt all of these reactions and more in the life we have led. But where are we now? How much does our personality rule our life or is it the other way round? Does life really depend upon the attributes that we have, the qualities that we show and the persona we exude? Are these the makings of our attitude. Our attitude to ourselves and the world at large. We may be seen as original, eccentric, an odd ball, or normal, or just plain different. But does this mean that we are not liked or respected? Surely respect and liking goes deeper than that. And we can receive ample amounts of either for being the person we are. The real person, warts and all. If we share and contribute, give and assist, help and support other people we will be seen in a good and positive light. And we will not be in any need of further endorsement, in ways that may sound good but actually do us no favors. Be the person you are. Develop the character you would like others to see and you to feel and know, and the rewards of life will be yours.
