Celebrations Are Your Way Of Rewarding Yourself
Are celebrations important? We have successfully completed our task - large or small - and want to express our happiness. Reward ourselves for the effort put in, the successful overcoming of obstacles, and the accomplishment of our goal. What should we do? Nothing. Take it for granted. Start on the next thing. Reward ourselves in some way. This should be commiserate with the task completed. For example, not a new car for speaking in public. But we should take pride in what we do and what we achieve. And stepping back for a few moments see what we have managed and to give thanks, that is a good thing to do. By reflecting we learn and grow. By seeing where we have come from we can relate better to others who may need our help or assistance. In addition, we will be better prepared for our next task. It may be more demanding, but we are ready and willing. And we should have some fun. All work and no play and all of that good stuff. We need to be able to relax. To give ourselves some time to assimilate and move on. To progress. So that we are more able when challenged next time. We need to celebrate and then move on. Get into the next task or challenge. Move further along our path. Find out what life has in store for us. Be grateful for the wonders of the life we have. Give thanks for life's good graces as they occur - both big and small. To really let life carry us along and appreciating all that life has to give and show us along the way.
