Bravery Is Inbred Not An Acquired Skill - We All Have It

Can I be exhibit bravery?

You do not know that you cannot. That is the nature of courage, of fortitude. Of grit. Of pluck and daring.

Of having spirit and letting it be shown to the world. Why hold back.

And such acts may take on many different and varied forms.

What is courage and showing real nerve for one is a mere nothing for someone else. All we can really do is to be brave for us.

To live a good life. To want to contribute and chances will arise. To want to give of your time and the opportunities will present themselves to you.

To stand up for goodness is an honorable thing to do. And not all will do it. So that is brave.

To speak in public is a frightening thing to do for many people. But you may find it exciting and enthuse about it.

Driving a car in busy traffic in a big city is not everybody's cup of tea - but you may think nothing of it.

Helping someone in need, when everybody else ignores the situation - but you have done it.

Taking the side of someone whose dignity is in jeopardy - that takes boldness and values, but you have done it.

Standing up to a bully may not be easy, but you have done it. And once done you found that the bully tends to move off onto easier pastures (and where your assistance may be required).

Saying no can take courage. Not accepting a poor response when better can be obtained. Going for your dreams and goals. Not following the crowd but being your own person. These can all take nerve and spirit, too.

So many ways to show that you have a back bone. Some spirit. Some principles. Some values.

Don't sit around waiting for your chance. Get stuck into your life - for no one else can do that for you.
