As Beginning Is Hard Give It A Little Extra Effort And Focus

Beginning is hard, perhaps the hardest part, of taking on any new task or project.

But what constitutes the beginning.

• When you get the first thought
• When you start thinking about your task or project
• When you have added some substance to your idea and thinking perhaps it is feasible
• When you take the first steps along your chosen path
• When you meet your first hurdle and question your journey
• When do you really start anything?

How does beginning originate?

• An opening occurs not previously there
• A chance meeting or happening
• An unexpected opportunity
• A thought that somehow gels together
• An idea that seems to have a birth in time and becomes something more
• An introduction to a new subject, task or project - which we instantly like. Take on board and put our energy into

Someone else has begun something - we were not there at the outset - but we get on board, invited or not, and become part of the team

An opening move in a series of moves that starts small and gets progressively bigger.

The opening moves have been made. Something gels. The inception of our project is here and now.

We can feel it is now real. No longer something in our mind's eye, but something real. Something that now seems to have some substance.

And we start to go with it. Our hopes are alive. We feel energized.

We have a sense of anticipation. We start to visualize things as they will be and not as they are now. This enthuses us more.

One step leads to another. Something is being built. The plans are now coming together. It feels good.

But then an obstacle appears. The clear journey ahead is now blocked. Our view of the future is now tarnished. Fog appears and the next steps are uncertain.

But we really want this venture to go through. We rally round. We put the resources together. We analyze the problem.

We have seen this before in another guise. And can transfer our knowledge to this new difficulty.

The fog dissipates as we clear the obstacle. And it is full steam ahead once more.

Many adventures ahead we are sure but we have begun. We are confident that these small beginnings can flower and blossom.

We are happy that the prize is ahead.

The project, once just a thought, not even an idea, is now cultivating an energy all of its own.

Beginning is hard but it is now on its way and we are flowing along with it. A smile on our face.
