Attention To Managing Our Lives With Care And Focus Will Pay Dividends

Is attention important?

How can I manage change in my life if I do not concentrate? Do not deliberate upon what is happening and what the effects might be.

Do not notice that change is upon me in the first place. Or pay little regard if I am aware enough to realize that some things are changing around me - and I had better start taking part of face missing out or not realizing the benefits that might occur.

I should take care of myself. I should give myself the time to care. The time to focus. The time to consider. The time to act. Lest change does really pass me by and all I know is that the train has left the station and I failed to get on board.

I should take heed of what is happening. My antennae should be up and registering. And I need take on board the input I am receiving.

Rarely will things happen and I do not notice at all. So I do need to sit up and take notice. I need to

  • focus
  • thoughts
  • concentration

and if called upon to act it would be best if I avoided procrastination if I could.

I need to give a bit of myself. For little is achieved by leaving your heart at home. By avoiding participation we can miss out on so much.

What might we need if things turn sour or confusion rules:

  • concern
  • support
  • assistance

may all be required and more. But the more aware we are of what we are doing and what is happening to us then the better off we can be.

And in order to make the most of our attention. This gift we all can have. And can develop if we so choose:

  • respect
  • care
  • integrity
  • courtesy

are all angles that might cross our mind.

Respect for ourselves and life. Care needed when the going gets tough. The personal integrity to rise to any challenge and move forward. The courtesy to not keep our learning and development to ourselves.

But rather to help and assist others who may be going through the same sort of things as us. We can help them. We can help show them the way. We can shed a little light upon their situation and ease them forward.

And in so doing find that yes improving and using our attention can benefit more than just ourselves.
