Guide To Managing Change - Our Attitude Will Help In Dealing With Any Resistance As We Change
A guide to managing change - is this what we need? Does dealing with change cause us any difficulties in our life? Do we take the responsibilities and challenges seriously? Do we meet the future with enthusiasm and a sense of freedom? Why would we want to bother to try to master any resistance to change that we may have?
Do we need guidance to change our attitude where change is concerned? Or as we change do we all handle it in an exemplary fashion - and experience no problems at all?
No problems . . .
If change causes you no problems in life then maybe you need not read on. However, if you are anything like me then the thought of managing the change process would be not only another feather in the cap, but remove yet another one of life challenges. Actually that is not quite right.
A guide would not remove the challenge of change; rather it would perhaps be able to put change into perspective. If we could see change in a positive light would that not be a good thing? If we were able to resolve change issues would that not be a good thing?
Why is change difficult?
Life is going along swimmingly and then something happens. We have to take stock of the new or amended situation. What has changed, what has been altered? Why are our circumstances now different?
They must often change who would be constant in happiness and wisdom. Confucius

What should we now do? What can we do? Are we still in charge? Are we still responsible? What are our options? Should we seek help or go it alone? What should or can we do now?
So many questions, always so many questions.
What would a guide to change include?
If we were to create a managing change guide what would we include? Would it help us to answer some of the questions that seem to inevitably arise when change comes into our life? When we consider managing change, let us see what we could include:
Do we need a guide to change . . . ?
Things do not change, we change. Henry David Thoreau

And things seemed so simple . . .
It is only when we look at things in life a little more closely that we see how easily we can take something for granted. Looking at the above listing of thoughts and questions illustrates some of the elements we can look at in and include in our guide to managing change.
My aim on these web pages is to help us all, and I wait with anticipation to see how this project - which focuses on managing change - turns out. Will this not be worth the effort? To help us all to better understand the processes involved in mastering change. And to be able to tackle this process - the process of managing change - with greater confidence and assurance.
Everything that happens, happens as it should, and if you observe carefully, you will find this to be so. Marcus Aurelius
